Welcome to PrismResearch.org. We are a research team dedicated to promoting the well-being of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ), questioning, same-gender loving, same-sex partnered, queer partnered individuals through research and its applications. This research initiative was originally founded by Ellen Riggle, Ph.D., Departments of Gender and Women’s Studies and Political Science, and Sharon Rostosky, Ph.D., Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology, at the University of Kentucky. Members of the research team come from many departments throughout the university, as well as from other universities.

Dr. Riggle conducts research on positive identity and well-being, minority stress and coping, the impact of policy and law, and related issues.
